The Larsh Family

Meet the Larsh family!! In November 2021, the Larsh family received news that rocked their world. Derra, age 39 and mother of 4 young children, was diagnosed with late stage 3 ovarian cancer. Her and her husband Danny decided to pursue all the treatment they possibly could to battle through the journey ahead. Derra had four rounds of chemotherapy plus a long, but successful surgery, and then one more round of chemo. A large part of Derra’s healing can be attributed to the outpouring of love and prayer the family received over the course of the past year, and above all God’s mercy. Derra has been able to partake in many new medicines and treatment technologies, however the cost was all out of pocket. Derra and Danny saw a large portion of their savings depleted, yet they praise God that they had savings in place to support them during this challenging time. As some may also know, the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis does not go away once you enter into remission. On behalf of the Larsh family, they wish to express their immense gratitude and love for Ryan’s Hope and their partnership during this season.
