The Hussey Family

Tyler Hussey is fighting to win a battle against cancer. Tyler is a beloved teacher and soccer coach at Liberty High School and a dedicated youth soccer coach in the West Valley. But his most important roles are being a loving husband to Holly and a devoted father to Emerson and Colbi.

Tyler’s Cancer battle started when he experienced a blood clot in his leg the week of spring break in March of 2023. This led to many tests, multiple doctor’s appointments and then a diagnosis of Grade 3 Synovial Sarcoma. They found a large tumor in the plural space of his lung. After a small round of chemotherapy and radiation, Tyler was able to have surgery to remove the large tumor and right lung at the end of August. Tyler has now started his adjunct cancer treatment to remove the tumor and has had 1 of 3-4 rounds of chemotherapy.

Tyler has poured into the lives of thousands of students and athletes, and it’s our turn to return the favor!
